Summer Internship Program

What is it?

A 5 week non-paid summer internship for high school freshmen thru seniors.

when is it?

The program start date is tentatively set for june 3, 2013 with internships beginning June 17th and ending july 26th.

Where is it?

Job sites will included businesses throughout the richmond area. job sites will be matched with each student’s particular area of interest.

What are the costs?

There are no monetary costs for participating businesses, internships are non-paid. businesses would be asked to provide an employee that would serve as the internship coordinator to oversee each student’s activities and learning.

How many hours per week are students expected to work?

Internships are expected to be between 20-25 hours per week, excluding lunch. employers should adjust weekly schedules as needed based on office activities/needs and student’s availability.
